Do i have bronchitis?

okay for four days now i have felt like there is something in my throat but its not like one of those lumps that goes away it just feels like there is something irritating my like breathig way or somethign and i have this horsish cough ever few minutes but when i cough nothing comes up. and eating is such a pain so i have just been trying to eat soup and stuff but everytime i try to swollow i have to cough to try and clear what ever it is out. i do smoke so it is likely i do have bronchitis but i stopped ever scense this started. juat wanting a second opinion? and what can i do to help this ? hpw ong will it last?
