Is there anyway to make something i am crocheting smaller?

you can decrease the number of stitches around the wrist area of your pattern. If you are supposed to make 20, make 20 at the 1st row from your hand, make 18 next and 16 then keep with 16. Thats just an example as I have no idea what your pattern calls for.
