Questions about military canines?

I recently received a email about a military dog that allegedly killed two Iraqi insurgents, ia rescue of American soldiers they had taken hostage. This dog was said to have received a Congressional medal of honor. Somehow this is hard for me to believe. Can you offer any info on this subject? Thanks n advance.
